It was almost adapted into a live-action movie by Darren Aronofsky several years ago, and small nods to it can be seen in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins. Miller's origin story is one of the best-known Batman comics. The adaptation will be a straight-to-DVD original, though it will have its premiere at Comic-Con this July.
